A happy and a sad ending all in one :)

Credits for Daniel taking this beautiful picture of Wilson, a cavoodle owned by lovely Leeza. So a happy and sad ending yes.. that's right it means I'm leaving Kiwiland after 2.5 months. But first I would like to take you to my last 3 weeks that I spent here in NZ.

Why is there a picture of food?? Oh that's right, because in these 3 weeks it's been all about food. I've never met people that are so passionate about food besides my brother and brother in law haha. Basically all they did was talking about what we should have for breakfast and how about lunch? And of course.. dinner! We had chicken, salmon, fries 😍, salad, more chicken but the food that was the most popular of all was pulled pork. Apparantly you can use it in every dish and eat it anytime you want.. 11 am in the morning? Fine! At 15 pm as a lunch? Sure! According to them.. you should always have pulled pork in the freezer or you're not a real food lover.

And of course with good food comes wonderful wine or Jameson or whiskey?? Anyway.. we have had a crazy lovely 3 weeks together. We played alot of games and I've been playing fair all the time of course. I would never cheat with a game, right guys? I won with throwing a coin into a bottle from a metre distance which is pretty impressive I think. Oh and we had an easter egg hunt game hosted by Danny. And wow.. some people (I won't mention any names for my own safety) were so competitive that the kitchen cabinet exploded, all the food that was inside the cabinet was now all over the floor with two people in the middle fighting for their easter egg that they believed was theirs. But with crazy people you can have the best time I believe and in this case crazy equals fun people, I wouldn't have wanted to spent my time during lockdown anywhere else than here.

Every time the sun was out I was going to the same park over and over again to write my poetry, listen to music and working my butt off with weights and workout videos. And Danny made me excited about running again, even so excited that I bought a fitbit for when I come back home. And even though I am going back home and I have to miss my sweet lovely workout buddy doesn't mean I will stop now. I want to reach my goal and when I want something I will make sure I'll get it 😊!!

Oh is she going to talk about food, again? No I just ran out of good picturesπŸ˜… I had no time to take any pictures and besides that we were in lockdown so there wasn't alot to take pictures of except all the food we have been eating haha. I am so happy I found more than just good friends, that is why it is a sad ending too. I am sitting in the hall waiting for my flight to board that goes to Sydney. The first stop where we have to wait 4.5 hours until it goes from Sydney to Tokyo, our 2nd stop. And then it is really time to go back to my friends and family and that makes me happy. I will miss my watermelon-lover so much, but I'll see you soon Danny! Already looking forward to that.

So this was it, a journey that ended very unexpectedly. I've seen so many things, I made wonderful new friends, met my kiwi family that feels like a 2nd family, have given an interview for the fundraising and met my Danny.. How extraordinary life can be.. 😊 I have something in mind for the leftover money from the fundraising, but I will keep that a secret for now.. but don't worry, it will be given in a special way! Right guys, I am literally stepping into the plane right now so I will say.. if everything goes according to plan then I will see you later Dutchies! πŸ‡³πŸ‡±
